History
The firm was founded 45 years ago by
Dr. Victor Della Valle, who from the beginning
specialized in Criminal Law, obtaining a quick
positioning for his outstanding professional work.
A few years later, his nephew, Dr. Alejandro Balbi Della Valle, joined the firm and together they consolidated the firm’s position in criminal law, placing it among the most recognized in the country.
Over time, Dr. Daniela Della Valle, Attorney at Law and Notary Public, joined the team, broadening the range of services offered by the firm. Together with her sister, Luciana Della Valle -both daughters of the founder- they specialized in the areas of Civil, Labor and Family Law.
Later, Dr. Carlos Balbi Della Valle, who also specialized in Criminal Law, joined the firm.
In 2017, Ignacio Balbi, who, after obtaining his law degree, has been dedicated to Civil and Sports Law, joined the firm as an attorney.
Finally, Dr. Félix Della Valle, who currently works in the areas of Civil and Family Law, joined the firm.
The firm has a university attorney and a bilingual executive secretary. It also has a permanent office in the city of Punta del Este and a network of correspondents throughout the country, as well as abroad: Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Chile, Colombia, United States, Italy, France, Switzerland, England and Spain.
Well-known public figures -including artists, sportsmen, national and international politicians, as well as businessmen from different countries- have been professionally assisted and advised in different areas of law.
With a solid track record in extradition matters, the firm has sponsored and advised in the most relevant cases of the last 30 years in Uruguay.
It also has extensive experience in Sports Law, supported by the outstanding trajectory of Dr. Víctor Della Valle and Dr. Alejandro Balbi, who have held important executive positions in the Uruguayan Football Association and the National Football Club. Currently, this area is led by Dr. Ignacio Balbi, who has specialized through diploma courses, seminars and congresses, both in Uruguay and abroad, keeping himself updated in a branch of law whose regulations are constantly evolving.
